Thala Ajith's Arrambam gets ‘U’ certificate

Thala Ajith's Arrambam gets ‘U’ certificate

Ajith Kumar’s Arrambam has finished all censor formalities in a clean manner. The movie was watched by the board members of the regional censor board yesterday in four frames preview theatre and the film has been passed with ‘U’ certificate.

The censor took place yesterday morning and report on the film is said to be terrific. Entertainment industry tracker, Sreedhar Pillai, who had been giving out the news updates about the certification process of the Ajith’s film Arrambam tweeted today morning, “#Arrambam Update – Censor taking place at the moment. Certificate by late evening/tomorrow. All the best 2 @vishnu_dir (Director Vishnuvardhan)”.

In the evening, Shreedhar tweeted, “#Arrambam Update – Censored clean U certificate!”

The board officials said they were satisfied with the film. It must be noted that Ajith’s previous three movies, Aasal, Mankatha and Billa 2 were not ‘U’ certified films. Aasal and Mankatha were granted U/A certificate, whereas Billa 2 was certified ‘A’. The last Ajith film which got a ‘U’ certificate was the Vijay directed  Kireedam. Now that Arrambam has a ‘U’ certificate, the film is eligible for tax exemption.

With this development, Arrambam has passed all the hurdles and now is all set for a grand release. The Ajith Kumar’s flick will hit the screens on October 31.

Directed by Vishnuvardhan, ‘Arrambam’ has Ajith, Nayanthara, Arya and Taapsee in the lead with Yuvan Shankar Raja composing the music. Cinematographer Om Prakash has added some marvellous visuals for this flick, which were shot all across Dubai, Jaisalmer, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Mahabaleshwar, Leh and Ladakh.

Initially, Arrambam was scheduled to release on November 2, but now, the makers have advanced the release of the movie to October 31, which is a Thursday.

Arrambam is expected to smash the earlier records of Kollywood box office.
